Okay, so here they are! The much anticipated Halloween pictures. So, this year we started planning costumes early because we wanted to be sure to have the best costumes ever! We decided to be PIRATES and Jason made the boys a very cool pirate ship. He spent his three day weekend putting it together. He fastened cardboard to the sides of the boys' wagon to create the shape of the ship. I happened to find a really cool styrofoam skull to fasten on the bow. Then he paper masched the entire boat. After that he painted it using various shades of brown, doing his best to make it look like wood. Then he added the lines for the planks. He fashioned a nice sail out of wood rods, rope, and heavy duty material. And then lastly, we had to come up with the perfect name. We decide on "The Pygmy"--and yes, Jason did scroll the name on himself--which is pretty much a group of midget people. We thought it appropriate since our Captain, Dalton, and First Mate, Connley, are little people. I must say, I was very impressed with the outcome of the ship, I think Jason was quite surprised himself. I think he might just have a talent there. :)
So, I ended up being in charge of the costumes. It was lots of fun dressing up as Pirates. We had our ward Halloween party the Saturday before Halloween. We were in high hopes of winning the costume contest. The judges couldn't decide between two sets of us and so they had the crowd vote between the two of us. The ironic thing is that we were up against Peter Pan, Wendy, and Tinkerbell. Hmmm, it couldn't have gotten much better than that, the Pirates vs. Peter Pan! Well, to say the least, we won! We were so happy that all our hard work had paid off.
They also had a chili cookoff that evening and Jason made some of his yummy chili for it. He ended up winning first place in that too. (I was so proud of him!) We swept the competition this year! Look out 6th Ward, the Foote's do not take competition lightly! (I've noticed I'm using lots of exclamation marks! I can't help it I'm excited!!)
Well, enough talk. Enjoy the pictures...
THE PIRATE SHIP
THE COSTUMES
Dalton lounged in the ship during the evening next
to what looks like a bottle of rum. He looked like a
drunk little pirate.

We hope you all had a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!
Hooray! My blog is FINALLY cute!! Now I am more excited to post on it. Hopefully I will start doing better. There is a link on the upper left corner of my blog where you can find free layout downloads and it is so easy to apply it to your blog. It seriously took me less than 5 minutes. Enjoy! Come back soon...I will get some Halloween pictures up. You won't want to miss them!
We blessed Dalton last Sunday. I took a ton of pictures of him in his blessing outfit. He wore the same outfit Connley was blessed in, which happens to be the outfit that all my brother's were blessed in. He looked so adorable! Jason's parents and my parents and sister Jessie came out from Arizona for the blessing. The Baker cousins and Aunt Lee and Uncle Barry also made it out, along with our friends Allison and Matt and their spouses. It was so great having everyone there. We really appreciate everyone that came. After sacrament meeting we had lunch at Aunt Lee and Uncle Barry's house. It was lots of fun visiting with everyone and there was lots of good food!

Here are some more pictures of Dalton! My parents and brother and sister came to visit a few weeks ago. Dalton was a week and a half old. We went to the beach for about an hour and I am so bummed because I forgot my camera. So I don't have the proof that Dalton went to the beach at a week and a half, but it's true. He's going to be a born surfer dude! Then the next weekend Jason's parents came to visit. We also took them to the beach and took them to this good little Mexican Restaurant there. Of course I forgot my camera again. I guess your brain just gets worse with each kid! Ahhhh! Well, here are some pictures I did get of everyone's visit. Enjoy!

Connley and Dalton with Grandma and Papa
Dalton was born on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 7:46 am. He weighed 8 pounds 11 ounces and was 20 inches long. Thank goodness I got to have him a week early or I may have had another Connley! Everything went very smoothly. It was a planned c-section, so my mom flew in Tuesday evening, we had a nice dinner, and then a good nights sleep (except the fact that it felt like Christmas anticipating the next morning). Jason and I had to be at the hospital at 5:30 Wednesday morning so they could get me all checked in and preped for surgery. By 7:35 am they began the surgery and Dalton was born at 7:46 am. They finished stitching me up and I was in the recovery room by 8:00 am. Yes, much better than a 36 hour labor! Dalton is a sweet and healthy little boy. Connley is having fun being a big brother. He is a good helper. Jason took two weeks off of work and has been playing the role of mom and dad. I think he is eager to get back to work. :o) All is well in the Foote household. We are having fun being parents of two cute little boys!
Connley had his 2nd birthday on March 18th. We went to the beach with his little buddy Sienna (my cousin's little girl that is the same age). They had tons of fun together running all around the beach, playing with their beach toys, and playing in Sienna's tent. Sienna gave Connley some fun beach toys, including a rake, shovel, and plow. When we're at home he likes to run around the house raking the carpet or prentending that they are swords. Mom and dad bought him a tool set. He's always trying to get into dad's tools, so we got him a set of his own. He LOVES them! He even knows how to use them surprising well.
Since we went to the beach for his birthday, I decided to make him a beach cake. We had the cake on his birthday and then I brought cupcakes for the day we went to the beach. Thanks to Brooke, Stephen, Sienna, and Chloe who made Connley's beach birthday a blast!
Connley's High Tech Space Shuttle
Connley and I built a space shuttle for him the other day. He kept sitting inside this box that I was meaning to throw away and decided that he was having so much fun with it that we should color it and make it something cool. So it is his NASA space shuttle, called Space Shuttle Connley. Once completed I had him sit in it and I pushed him around the apartment until I just about fell over dead (like after one minute!). So, that was our fun little project!
