PARTY!!!

We had a birthday party for Connley last Saturday. He is three! Wow! We had it at a park so the kids could just run around and play. We had pizza, chips, fruit, soda, and...cake. I decided to go with a WALL-E theme this year. Connley loves WALL-E, and well, so do I. I made WALL-E invitations, WALL-E decorations, WALL-E goodie bags, and of course, what would a WALL-E party be without a WALL-E cake?!? So I took on the challenge to make a WALL-E cake. Four boxed cake mixes, 8.5 pounds of frosting, and two days later we had ourselves a WALL-E cake. I stayed up till midnight the night before the party to finish the cake. The next morning when I showed Connley he was sooo excited and said "I like it!" Perfect reaction. Well, I'm very pleased with how it turned out. The best part is it all held together and it even tasted good! It was very sad when it came time to cut the cake, but totally worth all the effort of making it. Happy Birthday Connley!!

The Goodie Bag...

Each goodie bag had a small pot with soil,
a small bag of seeds, and a small WALL-E.

The End of the Party...

Poor WALL-E. (or maybe poor me?!)

Outrageous Jenn, that's all I have to say. I'm pretty sure your kids are the luckiest ever. Mine will be lucky if they get a Wall-E cake from Costco. :) Way to make such an awesome party!

We're so glad we were able to make it! The cake was amazing (and oh so tasty!), the invitations--adorable! and the goodie bag was great! The seeds have been planted and we will be looking for a sprout some day soon!

Jen you are so talented! (the pots and soil and seeds looked familiar and made me really miss all our "new patient gift" creativity together). I can't believe he is 3. Time really does go by so fast!

Connley's High Tech Space Shuttle

Connley and I built a space shuttle for him the other day. He kept sitting inside this box that I was meaning to throw away and decided that he was having so much fun with it that we should color it and make it something cool. So it is his NASA space shuttle, called Space Shuttle Connley. Once completed I had him sit in it and I pushed him around the apartment until I just about fell over dead (like after one minute!). So, that was our fun little project!
